Origin
Uncle Shagworthy is Shaggy's "zillionaire" uncle whose only appearance prior to MultiVersus was in the sixth episode from the first season of The Scooby-Doo Show, "Scared a Lot in Camelot", although he was also briefly mentioned in the 1999 PC game Scooby-Doo! Mystery of the Fun Park Phantom.
Uncle Shagworthy greatly resembles his nephew, in both design and personality, sharing his cowardice and love for food, but, as a wealthy gentleman, he is also more refined and eccentric.

Lore
- While it is currently unknown how Uncle Shagworthy got himself involved in the events described in the game's plot, he is shown to have the exact same powers as his nephew, implying that he also underwent a similar process to Shaggy's "Change".

- Uncle Shagworthy was re-added as a permanent Variant.

- An official screenshot from the website revealed that Uncle Shagworthy's default Team Color was originally blue.
- In the McDonald's collaboration, Uncle Shagworthy is included on a sticker sheet intended to be put over a card with Shaggy on it.
