Origin

Beachcomber Taz is a largely original Variant that takes slight inspiration from the "summer"-themed outfits Taz has worn throughout the years. It's vintage design could also be a nod to the fact that Taz debuted in the 50s.

Trivia

This Variant was originally named Summertime Taz in the Closed Alpha.
The color of Beachcomber Taz's straw hat band was temporarily changed from red to yellow at the beginning of Season 1, but was eventually reverted to its original color after the Season 1.02 Patch.
Two Beachcomber Tazes, one controlled by the player and the other by a bot, in The Lab prior to the Season 1.02 Patch. Notice how their Team Color changes in the top and bottom images depending on what direction they're facing.
At the beginning of Season 1, if Beachcomber Taz faced left while Team Colors were off, his Team Color would automatically turn to red. This bug was eventually fixed in the Season 1.02 Patch.
In the McDonald's collaboration, this outfit is included on a sticker sheet intended to be put over a card with Taz on it.
- Interestingly enough, the straw hat depicted on the sticker sheet is based on its earlier design from Beachcomber Taz's unused render.
