- Rick's defeat animation is based on this Taunt.
- In the victory animation, this Taunt also features a portal, which is probably the origin of this Taunt's name.
- Portal Moon is the only default Taunt in the game so far to not be called "Default".
- This Taunt was originally simply known as Moon before the Season 1.04 Patch.
