Avia Free or Avia is a character in MultiVersus: Collision Detected.

Origin

Avia Free is the daughter of Scott Free (aka Mister Miracle) and Big Barda. Her Earth-22 depiction is an adult that serves a minor supporting role for the Justice League. Her appearances were nothing more than what if scenarios that usually take place outside of DC's main canon. In MultiVersus: Collision Detected, her appearance is entirely new for the character, depicting her instead as a child with a main role to play.

Making her first appearance in Issue #1, Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman wake up in Jersey City nearby the Free household. Thus encountering the girl who's currently home alone. Once they hear an unfamiliar voice, Avia nervously feigns ignorance up until the trinity of heroes force their way in and quickly figure out that Avia's trying to hide something, or rather someone.

In the following chapter, Superman and Avia are sitting down having cookies he made from his laser vision. In Superman's attempts to gently nudge information out of her, Avia reveals that Big Barda and Scott Free are investigating a strange signal from Source Wall: a solid magical barrier surrounding the Multiverse. Avia recently built a Daughter Box from New Genesis tech to try and scan the concerning signal for herself. It's also revealed that Bugs Bunny and countless other characters were taken from their home worlds and placed in a strange digital game of sorts. But because of Avia and her tech, Bugs Bunny and a few other characters were brought into the DC Universe.

Avia reappears in Issue #5, grouped up in the Batcave with everyone else. She's staring in horrified shock at the computer's coverage of recent news, that being Lois Lane reporting mysterious drones gathering together, filling the skies with an ominous countdown. It's something that not even the previously taken fighters have seen before on their respective Earths. As a result of the potential world-ending mayhem, Avia's overcome with dread and guilt, immediately blaming herself for essentially causing everything with her Daughter Box. Despite the heroes' attempts at reassuring her, Avia remained unconvinced. She sulked away from the group by her lonesome up until she encounters Devoid and is subsequently taken over by him.

With her body overtaken and used as a vessel, the heroes fight tirelessly to get her freed from Devoid's clutches in Issue #6. They're eventually able to convince him to release her seemingly at the cost of all eleven fighters as they're taken directly to Devoid's Imaginarium. Once she's set free, Avia's quick to be distraught, tearing up once Big Barda told her that they sacrificed themselves for her sake. Fortunately for Avia, it's revealed by Bugs Bunny and the others to have been nothing more than a trick with Quantum Magnets. Her relief is shortlived, she expresses her worries for all the universes along with The Nothing still being in play. The Fighters proclaim how they're determined to defeat Devoid and stop his multiversal madness.
