Bats
The Bats are a group of non-playable characters in MultiVersus.
Origin
Bats are animals that are frequently found in the company of Batman. As a child Bruce Wayne fell into the Batcave and suffered a traumatic experience from seeing bats in the dark while injured. The bats beneath Wayne Manor continued to appear after the murder of his parents, one of them even flying into his father's study - which gave him the inspiration for his vigilante persona.

Role in MultiVersus
- AS A MAP EXTRA
Several bats can be seen flying in the Batcave Maps' background.
- AS A MAP HAZARD
The Bats also appear as a Hazard on the default and 1v1 forms of Batcave, where they will occasionally fly up from the bottom of the screen on either side of the main platform, damaging Fighters they touch. The Batcomputer will alert the players regarding this event.
- AS A MOVESET CHARACTER
Bats also appear as a visual effect for Batman's Grounded Down Attack, Slide Kick.

Trivia
- The Bats seen in Batman's Slide Kick attack will be replaced by stacks of money if he has his Bruce Wayne Variant equipped.
