Origin
Beetles are a type of insect that is heavily associated with Betelgeuse. In the original movie, he summons a large beetle when playing charades with Lydia. In the cartoon, Beetlejuice eats various kinds of bugs.

- AS ENEMIES
The Green Beetles can appear as enemies in certain nodes from the PvE Rifts Mode if their Mutator is active.
- AS MOVESET CHARACTERS
Insects also appear in Betelgeuse's moveset. The Tasty Bug is seen in Betelgeuse's grounded side attack, Bugs-cellent Combo. The attack is a 3-hit combo where he attempts to catch the bug, ending with him to squishing and eating the bug. The Green Beetle appears in his grounded up special Beetle Buddy, Betelgeuse kicks the beetle at opponents. If it successfully hits them, the beetle will fly next to Betelgeuse and enhance his air up special, Light as a Butterfly. Betelgeuse also swings on a hovering Tasty Bug for his air side special, Beetle Swinger.
