Toasty

Toasty, also known as Toastie, is a non-playable character in MultiVersus.
Origin
Toasty is an original character made for the game, resembling a zoomorphic bread loaf-like creature. He acts as a sort of pseudo-mascot for Toasts. He seems to share the behavioral pattern of dogs and can only speak in "Yip"s and "Yap"s.
Role in MultiVersus
- AS AN ALLY
Toasty is seen in the PvE Rifts mode, acting as an ally NPC.
If the Mutator "Help is here" is active on a Node, multiple versions of Toasty will fight alongside all players, sporadically throwing toast at enemies.
If the Mutator "Companion Capture" is active, Toasty will be held inside a cage on the Map. He must be freed by collecting keys from enemies and bringing them to his cage.
- AS AN ENEMY
Toasty can also ally with opponents in certain Nodes, such as in Node 4c from the Surf's Up! Rift.
Techno Terror
Toasty appears as the main source of conflict when he is captured by a simulated fighters working for the Quadraplex T-3000 Computer. Banana Guard eventually rescues him and they escape free.

- Prior to his formal, physical debut in Season 1, Toasty was referenced in various Cosmetic Items in the Open Beta. Those Cosmetics being the following:

- Toastie With The Mostie (Profile Icon)
- Extra Toastie (Banner)
- The Toasty battle companions act very similarly to the removed N.E.P.T.R. assistant.
- In Surf's Up!, Reindog makes Toasty a friend named "Sandwichester". However, Shaggy is implied to have eaten him before he can be shown.
