May 30th, 2025: The game's online functionalities have been shut down. The game will remain playable offline for the foreseeable future for players who logged in during Season 5.
Training Room
Training Room is an original available Map in MultiVersus. It was revealed on December 9th, 2021, on the game's Steam page. It is mainly used in the Training mode to test out Fighters and Perks, as well as to practice combos. It has 2 variations.
The maps received a massive visual overhaul in Season 5
Origin
The map resembles a training dojo overlayed over a grid-like design. Samurai Jack's Zintaris emblem can be seen drawn on the wall. The weapon stand and bench seen in the background carry references to the game's roster: Batman's batarangs, Bugs Bunny's hammer, Wonder Woman's sword, Samurai Jack's katana, Banana Guard's spear, and Superman's, Harley Quinn's & Velma's pair of shoes. The "MVS" logo can be seen engraved onto the map's main body, alongside two sculptures resembling Reindog and his gem of power. The Snail from Adventure Time also cameos on the maps, spawning in different locations every time the maps are selected.
Layout
Training Room
The whole map consists only of a large body with three platforms arranged in a triangular pattern, similarly to Sky Arena.
If Hazards are turned off, the platforms will disappear.
Training Room (1v1)
Almost identical to Training Room, but the main body is smaller.
Theme Songs
Adventure Awaits
An original orchestral arrangement made for the game that incorporates snippets from the game's main theme jingle.
- Intro - 00:00
- Main Theme - 00:07
- Idle Theme - 02:34
- Final Ringout Theme - 03:22
- Outro - 04:48
- Victory Theme - 04:54
Old designs and scrapped variations
Prior to Season 5, the Training Room had much simpler designs, which greatly resembled the Training Stage from Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and The Grid from STREET FIGHTER V. They're design was slightly tweaked in the Season 1 changing the orange outline seen on the Maps with a purple one. Part of the old grid-like design can still be seen in the maps' current look.
The maps also used to have two versions without platforms that were available without toggling Hazards off.
Trivia
- Training Room (1v1) used to be known as Training Room (1 vs 1) in the Open Beta.
- As the maps are only available in the Training game mode, this means that Adventure Awaits's Final Ringout, Outro, and Victory Themes are almost impossibly to be heard in-game, unless the song is being played during select Nodes in the PvE Rifts Mode.
- Training Room (Platforms) and Training Room (1v1 Platforms) also used to be known as Classic 3 Platform and Classic 3 Platform (1 vs 1) respectively.
- The platforms seen on the Training Room (Platforms) map used to be the same as the ones from Trophy's E.D.G.E..
- During the Closed Alpha, a duplicate version of Training Room, known simply as Training, was available in The Lab (the old name of the Training mode). This version did not return in the Open Beta.
- Training Room's updated design might be based on the Sparring program from The Matrix.
