Ringouts, also known as Ringout VFXs, are a type of cosmetic item that can be collected in MultiVersus. Ringouts take the form of visual effects that appear whenever a Fighter is knocked beyond the boundaries of a Map, with many of them referencing elements from the franchises represented in the game.

Trivia
The texture file used for the mysterious Ringout VFX.
- During the Offline Mode hiatus, all released Ringout VFXs (with the exception of Blade of Grass) were available for free.
- In the Offline Mode hiatus, a weird Ringout, listed as being EPIC, could've been found in the player's Ringout VFX collection. Its name is unknown, and its thumbnail appears to be an in-game texture file used for testing purposes known internally as "FireNoise3". When selected, its animation would've been the same as Default A's.
The Jelly Bean-like Ringout VFX seen in the Gameplay Trailer.
- In the Gameplay Trailer, a different Jelly Bean-based Ringout VFX can be spotted, a possible prototype for the Jelly Bean Ringout.
- The Mushroom Explosion Ringout VFX was originally supposed to be listed as EPIC.
- When Season 5 first released, Trident of Neptune was briefly added to the Prestige shop before being removed quickly after.
- House Lannister Sigil Ringout was originally known as House Lannister Banner in the Closed Alpha.
- House Stark Sigil Ringout was originally known as House Stark Banner in the Closed Alpha.
- It was originally listed as RARE prior to a Hotfix Patch on January 30th, 2023.
- House Targaryen Sigil Ringout was originally known as House Targaryen Banner in the Closed Alpha.
- Prior to the FestiVersus! Patch, the Happy Birthday, Tweety! Ringout didn't have a thumbnail in the in-game Ringout VFX Collection tab, leaving it be erroneously represented by its sprite sheet instead.
- Coincidentally, Bat Signal was also the name of a Banner.
- Omega Beam was the default Ringout equipped for CPU-controlled opponents in the Open Beta.
- The Default A Ringout was originally simply known as Default in the Closed Alpha.
- Despite being named after the game itself, the "v" from the PFG Multiversus Banner's name (PFG Multiversus) is not capitalized like the "v" from the game's title (MultiVersus).
- Prior to Season 3, this Ringout used to be listed as being LEGENDARY.
- Prior to Season 3, the PFG Team Ringout used to be listed as being EPIC.
- Pumpkin Spice is the only cosmetic item featured in the Scoobtober Twitch stream to not originate from the Scooby-Doo franchise.
- It is also the only one that can be earned by purchasing it instead of watching said broadcast.
- Prior to the Season 1.05 Patch, a separate Pumpkin Spice Ringout VFX would appear for the players who unlocked it via the Scoobtober broadcast. It's unknown what caused this glitch.[1]
- After the Season 1.05 Patch, Pumpkin Spice was relabeled from RARE to Common. It was switched back to RARE sometime after.
- Unlike the other Cosmetic Item exclusive to the MVP Pack - Drop 2, Lotus Blossom would've always show up in the player's Collection, whether they have unlocked it or not.
- Prior to the full release, this ringout was listed as LEGENDARY.
- Snowman Sledding Ringout VFX was originally listed as being RARE in the Open Beta.
- Despite Sparkler's thumbnail appearing in the player's Ringout VFX Collection from the Offline Mode hiatus, it's animation didn't play in-game, as the game defaulted to Default A whenever it was selected.
