Wabbit Season

Jump to navigation Jump to search

Wabbit Season is an available Map in MultiVersus hailing from the Looney Tunes Universe. It has 2 variations.

It was the last Map added to the game.

Origin

These maps are mainly based around Bugs Bunny's tunnels, the hole he lives in, and the forest depicted in most of his classic cartoons. The maps' title references Elmer Fudd's pronunciation of the word "rabbit" and how he usually hunts Bugs Bunny during rabbit seasons, as well as the "Rabbit Season" joke that was featured in the 1951 Merrie Melodies short "Rabbit Fire". A newspaper and a bottle can be seen on the top platform, which were objects usually seen near Bugs' hole in his old cartoons. Right besides the giant tree in the center of the map lies Bugs' actual hole, with a mailbox positioned next to it. Two carrot farms can be seen on the main body of the maps: one in which the carrots are humorously spit-roasted, and another one which houses carrots filled with dynamite sticks called "ACME Carrots" (a reference to the in-universe ACME brand). The left side of the maps' background features a booby trap placed above one of Bugs' holes sorrounded by two carrots and a TNT detonator hidden in the bushes. The right side features a cabin (possibly belonging to Elmer Fudd) and a scene recreation from the 1941 Merrie Melodies short "Wabbit Twouble" (which was most likely added as a reference to the infamous Big Chungus internet meme).

Layout

Wabbit Season

The map mainly consists of a large body with six platforms positioned in a triangular pattern. Signs with question marks will occasionally spawn on one of the platforms. If a Fighter manages to attack it first, a gun pointer icon will be placed on their opponent. The pointer will slowly close in, and if the targeted Fighter doesn't dodge at the exact time, they will receive a hefty amount of damage.

With Hazards turned off, the signs will not appear and neither will the top three platforms, leaving only three platforms on the map.

Wabbit Season (1v1)

Same as Wabbit Season, but visibly smaller. The top platform is also completely missing.

Theme Songs

These maps reuse the Come On Down to the Warner Bros. Lot song.

Trivia

  • Due to a glitch that causes some of the 2D Textures found on Maps to not load properly on old gen consoles and weaker PCs unless certain options are toggled on in the Graphics Settings, the 2D textures used for the gun pointer will not show even if the Hazard is active.
    • Due to the Graphics Settings not being available on the console versions of the game, this glitch remains unfixable on the PS4 and Xbox One platforms.
