Space Jam is a fictional Universe represented in MultiVersus.

Summary

The Space Jam series consists mainly of a duology of live action/animated-hybrid science fiction sports comedy films in which the Looney Tunes play basketball against hostile otherworldly forces alongside famous NBA superstars Michael Jordan and LeBron James. While its first movie started out as a spin-off of the Looney Tunes franchise, its second movie, while still keeping the spotlight on the Tunes, included references and cameos to various other WB-owned franchises such as DC, The Iron Giant, The Flintstones, Scooby-Doo, Rick and Morty, Gremlins, Austin Powers, Animaniacs, A Clockwork Orange, The Matrix, and many others, cementing the series into its own thing.

While the franchise has been heavily criticized for various reasons by people both from and outside Warner Bros., it has nonetheless gained a cult status for its humor and absurd premise. It has also gained a crossover with DC's very own Teen Titans Go! TV show in the form of a TV movie called Teen Titans Go! See Space Jam!.

Trivia

  • While both Space Jam movies are represented in MultiVersus, the franchise is officially referred by the sequel's title in-game.
  • Despite Lola Bunny debuting in the first Space Jam movie, she is considered part of the Looney Tunes Universe.
    • This is most likely due to the fact that, unlike LeBron, Lola continued to appear in other Looney Tunes media, becoming a staple of the franchise.
