==Summary==
The Iron Giant is a 1999 American animated sci-fi movie based on the 1968 novel ''The Iron Man'', written by Ted Hughes, which also had a sequel that never got adapted into a movie, ''The Iron Woman''. The movie centers around a young boy named Hogarth Hughes who discovers and befriends a [[Iron Giant|giant alien robot]] during the Cold War. With the help of a beatnik artist named Dean McCoppin, Hogarth attempts to prevent the U.S. military and Kent Mansley, a paranoid federal agent, from finding and destroying the Giant.

Although the film's initial release bombed at the box-office, it has since then gained a cult status and has been acknowledged a ton more by [[Warner Bros. Discovery]], making the Giant cameo in a lot of their modern IPs, not just in ''MultiVersus'', but also in ''Ready Player One'' and ''Space Jam: A New Legacy''.
