Season 5
Season 5 is the fifth and final Season of MultiVersus. The season was originally meant to start on January 21st, 2025, but was delayed till February 4th.
Summary
Season 5 acted as the final Season released before the game's online shutdown. The Season introduced Aquaman from DC and Lola Bunny from Looney Tunes as the last Fighters to be added to the game. New Maps included Wabbit Season from Looney Tunes and a revamped version of the Training Room maps. The Battle Pass was reverted to being a single large one instead of two small ones like in Season 4. Two Ranked-themed Events were hosted instead of just one. All Rifts introduced this Season were Rogue Rifts. A free bonus lootcrate was introduced to Missions, which rewards players with Currency, Fighters, and even Cosmetic Items from previous Seasons, though the lootcrate can also give duplicates. A new "offline" menu UI was added for when the game shutdown, and more features were added to offline game modes. Photo Mode was also added as a "final parting gift" from the developers.[1]
A large gameplay overhaul was also released alongside the Season, which notably addressed a lot of the community's gripes with the game.
