May 30th, 2025: The game's online functionalities have been shut down. The game will remain playable offline for the foreseeable future for players who logged in during Season 5.
Season 4
Season 4, subtitled Midnight Misfits, is the fourth Season of MultiVersus. The season was originally meant to end on January 21st, 2025, before later being extended to February 4th.[1]
Summary
This Season introduced Marceline the Vampire Queen and Raven from the Adventure Time and DC franchises respectively, as new additions to the Fighter roster. The Back to the Past and Candy Kingdom maps from Samurai Jack and Adventure Time were also added as new Maps, alongside the Castle map which was taken from the newly added A FestiVersus Vampire Invasion Rift. New variations for Space and Beach were also added. 
Fighter Currency was replaced by the new Fighter Road feature and 
Fighter Road XP as the main means of unlocking Fighters. The way the Battle Pass works was also altered: two shorter Battles Passes will now release per season (the first would run between the beginning of the season until its midpoint, while the second would run between the season's midpoint until its end). No Fighter is locked behind the Battle Pass anymore, with the first Premium Tier of both Battle Passes now rewarding a Variant for the new Fighters introduced in the Season. The Arena mode was also added, alongside the Rogue Rift, a roguelite-based Rift which included an Event-exclusive Abominable Mountaineer Jason Variant for Jason Voorhees. Shields were also added as a permanent addition to the game.
