Raven
Raven, also known as Rachel Roth, is a Fighter from the DC Universe in MultiVersus. She was revealed on October 7th, 2024 alongside Marceline and was released in early access on November 12th, before making her proper debut on November 15th during Season 4 as the first newcomer that can be unlocked in Fighter Road.
Origin
Raven is a mage-like superheroine in the DC universe created by writer Marv Wolfman and artist George Pérez. She was born as the daughter of a human and a demon. The former gives her possession of dark magic that grant her abilities like telekinesis, teleporting, projection (via her "soul self"), energy blasts, and more. She often chants the phrase "Azarath Metrion Zinthos" whenever performing these abilities. Raven is best known for her prominent role as a Teen Titan, but would later earn a reputation high enough to join the likes of the Justice League. She is also infamous for her grim personality, often speaking in a bored, monotone voice. Despite this demeanor and her demon heritage, she uses her powers for good instead of evil, contrasting her with Trigon, her father.
Official Biography
Azarath Metrion Zinthos!
A founding member of the (new) Teen Titans, Raven’s half-demon parentage grants her incredible magical abilities. Between her telekinesis, flight, projection of her Soul-Self, and control over darkness itself, she’s a powerful ally for the team in the war for the Multiverse.[1]

Skills
SPECIALS | GROUND | AIR |
---|---|---|
NEUTRAL K |
SOUL-SELF PROJECTION A short magical burst around Raven. If Lenore is in the arena, the burst instead spawns around Lenore. |
SOUL-SELF PROJECTION Same as ground. |
SIDE 🡆 + K |
QUOTH THE RAVEN… Raven infuses some of her magic into her pet bird, Lenore, and unleashes the bird as a HEAVY PROJECTILE into the arena. Raven can release the special button to place Lenore and spawn a small detonation attack at Lenore's location. Lenore can be picked up by allies to transfer Raven's magic to her ally. If Lenore is idle in the arena, enemies can melee attack Lenore three times to remove her. While Lenore is within range, Raven can use this attack again to KNOCKBACK all enemies in between Raven and Lenore. Placing Lenore applies a COOLDOWN. While Lenore is on cooldown, Raven instead spawns a wisp that she can detonate at a location. |
QUOTH THE RAVEN... Same as ground, but Raven will also fly forward in air after the attack has concluded. |
UP 🡅 + K |
GRAVITY WELL Raven spawns a magical orb above and in front of her, GRABBING nearby enemies. Raven can throw any grabbed enemies forwards or backwards. If Lenore is in the arena, the magical orb instead spawns above and in front of Lenore. |
WINGS OF SHADOW Raven creates magical wings and flies upward, dealing KNOCKBACK to any nearby enemies. If Lenore is in the arena, the magical wings fly upwards from Lenore's location. |
DOWN 🡇 + K |
SOUL-SELF SHIELD Raven spawns a large PROJECTILE SHIELD around herself. Raven can hold the special button to maintain the shield for longer, but she will take damage while she sustains the shield. Allies inside the shield are healed. If Lenore is in the arena, the PROJECTILE SHIELD instead spawns around Lenore. |
SOUL-SELF SHIELD Same as ground. |
PASSIVE ABILITIES
MAGICAL COUNTERMEASURES
When Raven and her ally are in a dire situation, Raven's magic begins to consume her, changing her appearance and empowering her. Raven's taken damage, her ally's taken damage, and the current team score can all impact when Raven's passive triggers. While her passive is active, Raven is faster and she deals additional DAMAGE and KNOCKBACK.
Raven can dodge upward from the ground.
