Midnight Showing is an available Map in MultiVersus. It was revealed in the Official "Public Service Announcement" Parody video on September 10, 2024. It was released alongside Season 3 on September 17, 2024.

Origin

This Map is based on the Kingston Falls Movie Theater from the first Gremlins movie, where the population of gremlins all congregate inside the theater to watch Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs. The Gremlins invade similar theatres in the film's sequel, Gremlins 2: The New Batch, and television show, Gremlins: Secrets of the Mogwai. Rather than battling within the setting area, the Fighters are behind the torn projector screen, with a crowd of rowdy gremlins watching them. The gremlins that sit in the cinema chairs will cheer whenever a ringout is performed.

Trivia

  • The footage being projected onto the Map's screen is reused from Gremlins 2: The New Batch when the gremlins take over the projector.
  • In the opening cutscene of the Jason Vs Multiverse Rift, Velma, Finn, Gizmo, and Jason appear to be inside of a theatre, possibly teasing this map.
  • The official YouTube upload of the Map's song refers to this stage as "Midnight Showing (Gremlin's Theatre)".
