Candy Kingdom
Candy Kingdom is an available Map in MultiVersus hailing from the Adventure Time Universe. It was released on December 17th, 2024 alongside the Castle maps and Marceline the Vampire Queen. It has 2 variations.
Origin
These maps are based on the Candy Kingdom, a post-war state located within the Land of Ooo. It is entirely made up of candy and is primarily inhabited by the Candy People. The kingdom was founded by Princess Bubblegum hundreds of years before the events of Adventure Time. The first variation specifically is based on the Candy Tavern, a bar located in the back alleys of the kingdom. Princess Bubblegum's castle can also be seen in the back of both variations, with the candy juice flowing out of it. The first variation takes place during day while the second one takes place during night.
Dirt Beer Guy can be seen on the first variation, watching one of the Fighters as they battle while doing his bartender duties. His wife, Cherry Cream Soda can sometimes be seen inside the bar via a window on the lowest part of the map, jumping up and down jovially from left to right. N.E.P.T.R. can be spotted sitting on a shelf on the second floor of the tavern. A single "yellow ice cream"-looking Candy Person can be seen scared and twitching inside of the tavern, referencing his cameo appearance from "Simon Petrikov", the second episode of the Max spin-off series Adventure Time: Fionna & Cake. The second variation features five different Candy People alongside Peppermint Butler, the loyal servant of Princess Bubblegum, spectating the match. They will cheer whenever a ringout is performed. In the back of both maps, a Gumball Guardian can be seen standing on the kingdom's walls and watching the outside of the kingdom while blowing bubbles and occasionally scratching his butt. The Marshmallow Kids also appear on the moving platforms of both variations, and they will sometimes laugh whenever a Fighter steps on them. Ice King can also be seen flying in the background on both variations. On the default variation only, the Snail can also be seen sitting on the second building's balcony.
References found on the first variation include: donuts growing from a window bush and potted Muffin Flowers (referencing Floradulcina the Witch's magical pastry garden from the episode "The Witch's Garden"), one of Tree Trunk's apple pies, Billy's Gauntlet of the Hero, a stack of pancakes and a box of pancakes (referencing Jake's love of them), the bar's karaoke stand, three Honey Energy Drinks, a few issues of the Ble Magazine, a drawing of Princess Bubblegum herself, broken bottles and the Demonic Wishing Eye (both referencing Gunther the penguin), the Enchiridion, a painting of the Candy Kingdom, Marceline's axe-bass, and a cardboard box with a sad face sporting glasses drawn on it with a marker (possibly referencing the Box People from the episode "Box Prince").
References found of the second variation include an armor stand displaying various Candy Kingdom weaponry alongside the sword seen in the series' logo, and a training dummy resembling the Earl of Lemongrab.
Layout
Candy Kingdom
The map consists mainly of the Candy Tavern, which acts as a large body (that has its left half raised higher than its right half), with its two floors acting as a two large platforms. The signpost situated on the Tavern's right side also acts as a platform. A second building can also be found on the right side of the map, acting as a second body.
The two towers seen on each side of the Candy Tavern sport 3 platforms that rotate around the towers, meaning that Fighters can only interact with them when the platforms face the screen. If Hazards are turned off, the platforms won't appear.
Candy Kingdom 2
The map now consists of a single large body.
The body is surrounded by the two towers carrying the rotating platforms from the first variation, albeit with only 2 of them instead of 3. If Hazards are turned off, they will be replaced by a floating large platform that moves from left to right above the main body of the map.

Trivia
- Concept art shown of Candy Kingdom 2 shown on a video from Fireball Studio's website reveals that Candy Kingdom 2 was also originally meant to have a version that would've taken place during daytime.
- The concept art also reveals that instead of generic Candy People, the crowd would've instead consisted of three Marshmallow Kids (one of which was wearing a replica of Finn's hat and a small wooden sword), BMO, Lumpy Space Princess, and two Box People, alongside Magic Man's hat and Finn's Finn Sword. The Marshmallow Kids seen on the moving platforms also had much simpler designs.
